Settings → Appearance lets you pick a color theme for the whole app and, on most themes, turn Home's time-of-day background photos on or off.
Where to find it
Settings → Appearance.
Choosing a theme
Kenso offers three themes: Navy (the default dark look), White, and Electric. Tap any swatch to apply it. There's no separate save step: it takes effect immediately across the whole app, including screens other than Home.
White is a high-contrast option built for accessibility rather than a lighter color choice: it switches Kenso to larger text and higher contrast throughout. It's opt-in only: Kenso doesn't switch to it automatically based on your phone's system light/dark setting, so turning your phone's appearance to light doesn't change Kenso's theme on its own.
Home background photos
On Navy and Electric, a toggle labeled "Home background photos" turns scenery on the Home screen on or off, and the image shifts with the time of day when it's enabled. White doesn't show this toggle: a bright theme has nothing for the photo backdrop to sit against.
Good to know
- Theme is purely a display preference: it doesn't affect any of your training data, your programs, or how Kenso coaches you.
- If you haven't picked a theme yourself, Kenso starts new installs on Navy regardless of your phone's light/dark mode setting.
- Theme is stored on the device you're using, not on your account: signing in on a different device or browser starts back on Navy until you pick again there.
