Recovery sessions are short guided routines (stretching, mobility work, cooldowns) that walk you through one step at a time with a timer, or let you check off steps at your own pace instead. Finishing one earns Growth (XP), the same as a workout.
Where to find it
Tap the + button to open Start Workout, then choose a routine listed under Active Recovery.
Guided mode
Guided mode shows one step at a time with instructions and a demo when one exists. Timed steps (holds, breathing drills, and the like) show a countdown ring you start yourself; when it finishes, Kenso plays a chime and moves you on to the next step automatically. Swipe left or right, or use the arrows at the bottom of the screen, to move between steps manually. The toggle in the header switches to checklist view at any point.
Checklist mode
Checklist mode lists every step at once. Tap a step to mark it done, and tap the info icon next to a step for extra notes if it has any.
Repeating a circuit
Once every step is checked off, a Repeat Circuit option appears. It resets your checklist and runs the routine again, keeping count of how many circuits you've completed.
Finishing
Tap Finish in the header to end the session and record it. If you haven't completed any steps yet, Kenso asks you to confirm before ending early rather than saving an empty session.
Good to know
- Recovery sessions work offline: results sync once you're back online.
- Time starts counting from your first completed step (or your first started timer), so opening a routine and coming back to it later doesn't inflate your logged duration.
- A routine's length and step count are shown before you start it, so you know what you're committing to.
