Kenso stores your account details, workout and program data, and (if you connect them) health and wearable data, so it can track your training and coach you. A separate set of switches controls what, if anything, leaves your device for AI features or third-party assistants. This page maps out what's collected and where each control lives.
Where to find it
Settings → Health & Connections is home to most of the switches below; account-level actions (export, delete account) live in Settings directly.
What Kenso stores
Your account info, workout and program data, and any Apple Health, Oura, or Whoop data you choose to connect. If you use AI features, Kenso also keeps a short summary of your coach conversations and any facts it's saved about you: see Coach memory and chat history.
What only leaves your device with permission
Two separate switches decide whether your data reaches a third party:
- AI coaching: whether anything about you reaches an AI provider at all. Off means nothing does. See How Kenso shares data with AI.
- Health data for AI: a narrower switch scoping whether your recovery, HRV, sleep, and body metrics specifically are included. See Health data for AI.
Separately, Sync Apple Health controls where your health data itself is allowed to rest: everywhere, training-only, or nowhere off your phone. See Deleting synced health data.
Your controls
- Export your workout history as a file: see Export your data.
- See and revoke any AI assistant connected to your account: see Connected Apps and what they can access.
- Delete your account and everything tied to it from Settings.
Good to know
- The full legal Privacy Policy, including data retention periods and third-party processors, is linked from Settings.
- Turning off AI coaching stops new data from being sent: it doesn't undo requests already made.
