Kenso never puts you into a deload without you seeing it happen. You can mark any session or any single exercise as a deload yourself from the logger, which drops working weights for that session and skips it from PRs and progression tracking. If you turned on auto-progress for a program, a deload week can also be scheduled automatically at the end of the cycle (something you opt into and can turn off in the program's auto-progress settings), not something the app decides on its own mid-cycle.
What to do
- Check the program's auto-progress settings if a deload week appeared and you don't remember requesting it.
- Use the deload toggle in the logger's menu any time you want to back off a session or an exercise, whether or not it was scheduled.
- Turn deload off the same way if you'd rather push through: it's a toggle, not a lock.
See deloads for how the different deload types work.
