Your training profile tells Kenso a bit about you and your goals so it can tailor programming and coaching: your goal phase, experience level, any Injury Flags, body type, age, and bodyweight. None of it is required, and every field can be changed at any time.

Where to find it

Settings → Training Profile (Goal Phase, Experience Level, Injury Flags) and Settings → Preferences (Body Type, Age, Bodyweight).

Goal Phase

Choose Cut, Maintain, Build, or Strength. This tells Kenso's AI-assisted programming (program builds, coaching context) what you're training for right now. For example, a cut phase leans on preserving strength and muscle rather than chasing more volume.

Experience Level

Choose Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced. This shapes how AI-built programs and coaching guidance are framed: more form and consistency focus for a beginner, higher stimulus for an advanced lifter.

Injury Flags

Flag any of: low back, shoulder, knee, hip, wrist, elbow, or neck. When you flag an area, Kenso's AI program builds and coach steer away from exercises that tend to aggravate it and favor joint-friendlier alternatives, and the coach may proactively suggest adjustments to a session because of it. This is guidance, not a medical restriction. You can still add any exercise yourself.

Body Type, Age, and Bodyweight

Body Type (Male/Female), Age, and Bodyweight live under Settings → Preferences. They feed body-metric calculations such as strength standards and estimated one-rep max, so keeping them current keeps those numbers accurate. Bodyweight also displays in the unit you've chosen. See Weight unit, effort scale, and start of week.

Good to know

  • Changing your training profile doesn't rewrite an active program. It informs future AI-assisted programming and coaching, not your existing exercise list.
  • If you're a guest (no account yet), profile fields save to your device and carry over once you create an account.
