On phone-sized touchscreens, tapping a Weight or Reps field opens Kenso's own number keypad instead of your device's system keyboard. There's currently no setting in the app to switch back to the system keyboard. If you'd rather not use it, contact support and let us know.

Where to find it

There's nothing to open. It appears automatically the moment you tap a Weight or Reps field on a phone, in place of your device's keyboard.

What it does

The keypad has digit keys, +/- buttons that step the value up or down, and Next/Done keys to move between fields. While you're entering reps, quick-pick chips for your effort rating (RPE or RIR) appear above the keypad, so you can log effort without switching fields. On barbell exercises, a plate icon opens a per-side plate calculator for the weight you've typed. See Plate calculator.

When it appears

It only shows up on phone-width touchscreens. On a tablet or in a desktop browser, Weight and Reps fields use your device's normal keyboard instead.

Good to know

  • The keypad only replaces text entry for Weight and Reps. Every other control in the logger works the same way it always has, including tapping the checkmark to complete a set.
  • The plate calculator icon only appears while you're entering weight on a barbell exercise; it stays hidden for other equipment types.
  • If the keypad is getting in the way for you, use Send feedback to let us know. There's no built-in opt-out today.
