Kenso logs cardio as its own session type, separate from strength workouts. Start one from the workout menu, either run a live timer or enter your time after the fact, and add distance, calories, or heart rate if you have them.
Where to find it
Tap the + button to open Start Workout, then choose an activity under Cardio. If your active program includes a cardio workout, it appears there too and you can tap it directly.
Starting a session
Use the toggle at the top to switch between Use Timer, which starts, pauses, and resets a running clock, and Enter Time, where you type in a duration once you're done. Switching modes doesn't lose anything you've already entered.
Adding details
Distance, calories, and average heart rate are all optional. Leave calories blank and Kenso estimates it from your duration and activity type; enter your own number to override the estimate. Distance is stored in the unit you're already using (miles or kilometers, based on your display setting).
Finishing or discarding
Tap Finish once you have a duration logged: a few seconds on the timer, or at least a minute typed in manually. Use the ⋮ menu next to Finish to discard the session instead; discarding removes it for good.
Good to know
- If a different cardio activity is already in progress, Kenso asks whether to resume it or discard it and start the new one.
- Starting cardio while a strength workout is active discards the strength workout automatically so the cardio session can start.
- Cardio logged offline, or as a guest, saves on your device and syncs once you're back online.
- Finishing a cardio session earns Growth (XP), the same as a strength workout.
