Every exercise has a target rep range you can change from the logger. Pick one of Kenso's presets, type in your own min and max, or switch the exercise to a duration target instead of reps.
Where to find it
Tap the REPS label above an exercise's set rows to open the rep range picker.
Picking or setting a range
The picker shows a row of preset ranges (like 2-4, 8-12, or 12-15) to tap directly. To set your own, tap Custom, enter a minimum and maximum, and confirm. Kenso saves it so it shows up alongside the presets next time you open the picker for any exercise. If an exercise's range is locked by its progression strategy, tapping REPS doesn't open the picker at all. You'll need to change the strategy first if you want to set a custom range.
Switching to a duration target
For exercises you time rather than count reps for, tap the Reps / Seconds switcher at the top of the picker to change it to Duration, then pick a preset length or type your own. Tap Back to rep-based to switch it back.
Good to know
- Changing an exercise's rep range mid-workout only affects your targets for that session unless you're on a program workout and choose to save it going forward at Finish. See Change exercises mid-workout.
- If you've overridden the default range, a "Reset to template default" option appears at the bottom of the picker.
- Custom ranges you save appear for every exercise, not only the one you created them on.
