Kenso occasionally runs promotional offer codes redeemable through Apple's App Store, and Pro access can also be granted to you directly as a gift. Either way, your account reads as Pro: there's no separate "gift mode" to navigate.
Where to find it
On the iOS app: Settings → Account → Redeem a Code, or on the paywall, Have an offer code?. Both open Apple's native code-redemption sheet.
Redeeming a code
Enter or paste the code into Apple's sheet. Once Apple confirms it, Kenso shows "Code redeemed" and your Pro access activates immediately. There's no separate purchase step after that. Offer codes are redeemed through the App Store, so this only works on the iOS app; there's no equivalent flow on the web.
Promotional banners
Kenso sometimes shows a dismissible banner on the Home screen pointing at a live offer-code promotion. It only appears on the iOS app, only if you're on the Free plan, and only while the promotion is running. Tapping it opens the same redemption sheet as Settings; dismissing it with the X hides it for good on that device.
Gifted Pro
Pro access can also be granted to you directly, without a code. It shows up the same as any other Pro access: no separate purchase, no subscription to set up. Gifted access runs until a set date and then reverts to Free automatically. Kenso emails you in the days before it ends, telling you what specifically will stop working, and you can also check your plan badge in Settings any time to see where you stand.
Good to know
- Depending on the code, Pro may continue at the regular subscription price once the promotional period ends, or it may expire back to Free instead. Apple's redemption screen states which before you confirm.
- If a code doesn't work, Apple's sheet reports why. Retry from Settings, or use Send Feedback if it keeps failing.
