Kenso ships most updates automatically in the background. Settings shows your current version and, on the iOS app, lets you check for an update manually if you don't want to wait.
Where to find it
Your version number sits at the bottom of Settings, under the Support section. Check for Updates, iOS app only, sits above it in the same section.
Automatic updates
Most updates download in the background without any action from you. When one's ready to install, a banner reading "Update available" appears at the top of the app with an Update Now button. Tap it to apply the update and restart.
Checking manually
On the iOS app, tap Check for Updates in Settings → Support. Kenso reports back one of three things: an update is downloading, an update is ready (tap the banner to install it), or you're already on the latest version.
Two kinds of updates
Most day-to-day fixes and features arrive through the in-app banner described above, without going through the App Store. Larger changes (ones that touch the native app itself rather than what runs inside it) ship as a new App Store version instead, and update the same way any other iPhone app does: through the App Store app, or automatically if you have automatic app updates turned on in iOS.
Good to know
- The web app always serves the latest version when you load it: there's nothing to check for there.
- If Kenso seems stuck on an old version, Clear Local Cache in Settings → Account clears what's stored on the device and reloads it fresh.
- Applying an update from the banner reloads the app, the same as if you'd force-closed and reopened it.
