You can swap, add, or remove exercises at any point during a workout. On a program workout, Kenso asks when you finish whether the change should carry forward to future workouts or apply only to today's session.
Where to find it
All of these live in an exercise's three-dot menu, or at the bottom of the exercise list, while you're in the workout logger.
Making the change
To swap an exercise, open its three-dot menu and tap Swap exercise. See Swap an exercise. To add one, tap Add Exercise at the bottom of the list. To remove one, use Delete in the same three-dot menu. Reordering works by long-pressing a card and dragging.
Deciding whether it sticks
If you're on a program workout and made any of these changes, tapping Finish shows a "Save changes for future workouts?" prompt listing exactly what changed: swaps, adds, removes, or a reorder. Choose Save to Program to make the change permanent, so it shows up the next time this day comes around, or Today only to keep it scoped to this one session.
Good to know
- If you're using training locations, a swap made while a specific location is selected is offered as a variant for that location only. It won't change what you see at other locations, and future workouts still use the default exercise elsewhere.
- Freestyle workouts and empty sessions don't have a template to save back to, so there's nothing to confirm: whatever you pick is only what you did that session.
- Swapping mid-workout starts the new exercise with empty sets rather than carrying over numbers from the one it replaced; its own history fills in as you log it going forward.
