New from Photo reads a photo or PDF of a program (a whiteboard, a spreadsheet, a coach's handout) and turns it into an editable draft you can review and save. Nothing is saved until you confirm the draft.
Where to find it
Programs tab → Change → Import Program tile → New from Photo.
Uploading
Upload up to 10 image files (JPG, PNG, or WebP) or a single PDF. Images and a PDF can't be mixed in the same upload. A multi-page PDF lets you pick which pages to analyze before Kenso processes it.
Reviewing the extraction
Once Kenso finishes reading the file, you see the extracted program (days, exercises, sets, and reps) on a review screen. Fix anything that came through wrong, including exercises Kenso couldn't confidently match to its library, before opening it in the builder. If the source material has multiple training phases, you pick which phase to bring in.
Opening it in the builder
Tap the save action on the review screen to open the extracted program in the same editor used for manually built programs. You can keep editing there, and the program isn't written to your account until you save it from the builder.
Good to know
- Your first photo/PDF import is free; after that it's a Pro feature.
- Because the photo is sent to an AI provider to be read, Kenso asks for your consent the first time you use this feature. See AI Data Consent.
- Once a program built this way is saved, you edit it the same way as any other program. See Edit a Program.
- If you're trying to recreate a routine you've already logged elsewhere in Kenso, Program from History may be faster than photographing it.
