If you connect more than one of Apple Health, Oura, and Whoop, Kenso blends them into a single recovery reading by default, and flags on screen when your sources disagree. You can also pin one source instead of blending, from Settings.

Where to find it

Settings → Health & Connections → Recovery source.

Auto (blended) mode

With Recovery source set to Auto (the default), Kenso combines every connected source into one reading rather than picking only one. Underneath your recovery score, a short line shows "Blended" along with which sources went into it, or the name of a single primary source if only one had data that day.

When sources disagree

Next to that attribution line, Kenso shows a confidence read: "Signals agree" when your connected sources are telling a consistent story, "Mostly aligned" when they're close but not identical, or "Signals differ" when they meaningfully disagree. This doesn't tell you which source is right: it tells you the underlying data isn't as clean today, which is useful context on its own.

Attribution on Home and Recovery

Every day's reading carries its source with it, both on the Home dial and on the Recovery page, so you can always see whether a given day's number came from Oura, Whoop, Apple Health, or a blend of what was connected that day. A day where only one wearable had data attributes cleanly to that source even in Auto mode.

Pinning a single source

If you'd rather Kenso use only one connected source instead of blending, change Recovery source to Oura, Whoop, or Apple Health directly. Kenso then reads only that source for your recovery number, ignoring the others even if they're still connected and syncing.

Good to know

  • Pinning a source doesn't disconnect the others: they keep syncing and remain available if you switch back to Auto or to a different pin.
  • For an exact day-by-day breakdown of what each connected source sent, see See exactly what your wearables sent Kenso.
