Switching to a different program ends your current one and activates the new one in its place. Only one program can be active at a time.

Where to find it

Programs tab → Change, then pick a saved program, a template, or build a new one.

What happens to the program you leave

Ending a program takes you through the Meso Summary screen, where you see its stats and can add a rating and notes before confirming. Once ended, it moves out of "active" status but stays in your Saved Programs list along with its full session history; nothing is deleted.

Switching mid-cycle

If you already have sessions logged on your current program and pick a different saved program to activate, Kenso stops and asks you to confirm first: "Switch active program? You're currently mid-cycle on [current program] ([N] sessions logged). Activating [new program] will pause it: your progress is saved and you can resume later." You can choose Keep Current to back out, or confirm to go ahead with the switch.

Starting a program you've run before

Despite that confirmation wording, activating a program you've already ended starts it fresh, as a new run, not a continuation of where you left off. Selecting it and activating it works exactly like running any saved program for the first time; it doesn't reopen your previous cycle.

Good to know

  • There's currently no "resume where I left off" option: Kenso doesn't offer a way to pick back up mid-cycle in a program you've already ended. If you switch away and come back, expect a fresh start, not a continuation, even though the switch confirmation describes it as a pause.
  • Your workout history and personal records stay attached to the program they were logged under, no matter how many times you switch away and back.
  • If you only want to set a program aside without ending your active one, that's a different flow. See Archive Programs for putting a saved program out of the way without touching what you're currently running.
