Kenso tracks one active strength workout and one active cardio session at a time. If you try to start something new while one is still open, you'll see a prompt asking how to handle the one already in progress rather than losing it silently.

Where to find it

These prompts appear on their own, whenever they're relevant. You don't open them from a menu. The easiest way to avoid one in the first place is to resume what's already open: while a workout is in progress, Home shows a banner for it that you can tap to jump straight back in, or use to finish or discard it directly. See Pause and resume a workout.

Unfinished Workout

If you try to start a new strength workout while another is already unfinished, a prompt appears with three choices: Resume workout (go back to the one you started), Start new workout (leave it and begin a different one), or Cancel.

Cardio in progress

If you try to start a strength workout while a cardio session is active, Kenso shows how long that cardio session has run and offers Finish cardio first or Discard cardio & start workout.

Workout in progress

The reverse case (starting cardio while a strength workout is active) shows how many sets you've completed and offers Finish workout first or Save workout & start cardio.

Good to know

  • None of these prompts delete anything on their own. Discard and Save options are explicit choices, and Cancel always backs out without changing either session.
  • These prompts can also appear if Kenso finds a session still open from a previous visit, not only when you deliberately tap Start on something new.
  • Discarding from one of these prompts is the same permanent action as Discard workout elsewhere in the app. There's no separate undo.
